Day Eight: Picspams

I think picspams are the single thing I miss the most from heavy bandom involvement.

I love dogs. I really, really love dogs.

They're so long-suffering.

And charming.

And, oh, there are those of who love the smell of wet dog and those of us who don't. Guess which category I fall into? (Hint: I have never owned a dog. I am well aware my views might change -- don't disillusion me.)

The above has to be about my favourite photo in all of bandom. But this next one comes close.

No bandom picspam would be complete without some dorktastic dorkfaces, and who are my favourite dorks but these charming young men.

Anyway, this is my picspam, and I can be self-indulgent about my OTP if I want to, so:

Almost as much hate as some of you have for these, in fact.

This batch was chosen for two reasons. The first was as an excuse to post the most tasteless lolcat I'd ever seen, which I now can't find.

shimgray. Last year Shim did the wonderful, wonderful pic-a-day project, and his photos of Oxford were balm to my homesick soul.

Because I do confuse learning with the smell of cold stone.

And the smell of warm sunshine.

And the smell of happy, rambling anecdotes about long-dead mathematicians.

And the smell of a place to rest, to talk, to think.

I named my first laptop Toby, y'know. Because it was smarter than me, got cross with me when I gave it stupid orders, and, most importantly, was bald.
